A BURY restaurant has pledged to help raise £150,000 for Children in Need this November.
Frankie and Benny's, at Park 66 in Pilsworth, held a charity fun day on March 6, helping the nationwide restaurant group raise up to £30,000 of their £150,000 target.
Staff at the New York-style restaurant released 500 balloons sponsored by customers, held a raffle for a hamper of goodies, washed cars and gave free meals away throughout the day, with all proceeds being donated to the BBC telethon appeal.
Manager Phil Maddock said: "Customers and staff really enjoyed the day and the atmosphere within the restaurant was amazing. We are holding three events throughout the year and want to hand a big cheque for the charity in November."
