THREE lost sheep are looking for their Little Bo Peep after seeking pastures new - on a housing estate.
Residents of Douglas Walk in Whitefield were surprised to see the animals running loose on the streets. But thanks to a community policeman and neighbours, the animals were herded into a fenced-off garden, where they happily grazed as efforts were made to track down their owner.
Miss Ragen Ellaway (27), who enticed the sheep into her garden with a bucketful of carrots, said: "Apparently, they have been around the area. Someone said they had been roaming around Unsworth Pole. The policeman telephoned a number of farms, but no-one has claimed them.
"But they have proved very popular. A number of my neighbours were out taking photographs of the sheep and my son has been feeding them with chopped apples. They have certainly been attracting a crowd. If no-one claims them, then I will have to phone the RSPCA. They're old sheep and could have been abandoned."
