BURY-based PC World Business (PCWB) is flying the flag for the town!
The company, based at the Waterfold Business Park, is the first in the north west to go through the BTEC Career Path qualifications, designed to meet the specific needs of the contact centre sector.
The successful employees were presented with their certificates, awarded by Edexcel, at a ceremony at their offices in Bury.
Anne McColl, the company's contact centre manager of PCBW, stated: "The flexible framework allows an employer to target where training is needed and provides staff with a career path that not only teaches them the essential skills they need to do their job, but also allows them to gain a formal recognition for their learning and achievement."
Finance director Darren Cornwall said: "These programmes are very important and companies should invest by rewarding loyal staff for their hard work."
In partnership with Edexcel, Qualifi Ltd have created the BTEC Career Path offering BTEC Development Certificates for contact centres. These tailormade, work-based learning programmes have been designed to meet the specific needs of the contact centre sector and are now mapped to the new National Occupational Standards of e-skills UK (the Sector Skills Council for IT, telecoms and contact centres).
