PEOPLE living in Fairfield could be given residents-only parking permits because of congestion near the hospital.
Many householders in streets off Rochdale Old Road have complained that they cannot park near their homes since the hospital started charging visitors and staff to park.
Bury Council has carried out two rounds of consultation, and the findings will be reported to Tuesday's meeting of Bury East area board, which starts at 7pm at Bury Town Hall.
Councillor Trevor Holt, area board chairman, will start proceedings by leading a "behind-the-scenes" tour of the town hall, debating chamber and the mayor's parlour.
"I thought it would be a good idea to end this round of area board meetings by giving people a guided tour of the heart of local democracy," he said. "I have been a councillor for more than 20 years and this tour will also give people the opportunity to test my knowledge of this historical place."
The meeting features the usual 45-minute open forum, and a chance to identify "grot spots" which could qualify for improvement grants.
Ann Coates, Bury Primary Care Trust manager, will outline proposals to change GP surgeries and the walk-in centre.
