RADCLIFFE BOROUGH 0, WORKINGTON TOWN 2: Boro's play-off hopes were all but ended as UniBond Premier leaders Workington cruised to a 2-0 victory at Stainton Park.
Goals from Cohen and Henney inside 20 minutes sealed the points for the runaway leaders, which leaves Boro six points adrift of the play-off positions having played two more games than the surrounding teams.
Off the field, there was more bad news for Boro, with an injury to keeper Danny Hurst, who could miss the remaining games of the season after pulling out of the game with a recurrence of the hernia problem which has plagued his season.
Hurst could now face surgery, leaving veteran keeper Andy Johnstone to carry on in between the sticks.
Boro boss Kevin Glendon also released full-back Peter Carty after only three games at the club.
Glendon said: "I just did not see Peter fitting into the role I expect.
"I also felt he would not be a regular in the team and to be fair to him he does not want to be travelling the country at his age and not be involved.
"It is never easy dealing with players in situations like this, but I feel Peter fully understood and appreciated the conversation we had."
