THE number of people becoming homeless in the north west in the last quarter of 2004 fell by four per cent compared to the same period the previous year.
In Manchester, according to the latest national statistics, the number of households becoming homeless fell from 645 to 379. However, the overall number of people becoming homeless in the region during 2004 went up by 0.3 per cent compared with 2003.
