A SUPPORT group for people with breathing difficulties has thanked the medical specialists for their care.
Breathe Easy Bury and District presented Fairfield Hospital with a stereo CD player and a set of exercise weights for their pulmonary rehabilitation programme.
Mrs Beatrice Gilmore, of Meadowcroft, Radcliffe, is secretary of the support group. She said: "Many of our members have benefited from the programme. And we asked how we could help.
"We hold a variety of fundraising events throughout the year at Fairfield Hospital. We were asked if we could buy a CD player, because theirs had recently broken, and also a set of weights which can help in the exercise programme to strengthen the chest muscles."
Breathe Easy meets on the first Friday of every month at St James Parish Hall, Bury, at 2pm.
