STUBBINS-based Strategic Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Ltd has appointed Iain Stringer to the position of director designate.
Iain joins Strategic from Gill and Wilkinson where he was employed as senior contracts manager-business development manager. Prior to that, Iain worked for ADT, the UK's largest fire and security company where he spent seven years as regional manager for the company.
He also spent eight years as contracts manager at NG Bailey and Co, one of Europe's leading independent mechanical and electrical and building services engineering contractors.
In his new role as director designate, Iain will report to the Strategic Group's three executive directors and will be responsible for servicing the Group in terms of supplying essential M&E skills and expertise. Iain will also take responsibility for developing a portfolio of clients with specific mechanical and electrical needs; and will play an active role in project management, accounting, specialised procurement, business management and health and safety.
Launched in July 2004, Strategic Mechanical and Electrical is part of Strategic Team Group - one of the UK's fastest growing suppliers of building and property solutions - and was created to add skills in electrical installations, plumbing, air conditioning and heating systems to Strategic's portfolio.
Since STG's inception in 2000, the company has developed a culture and a reputation for delivering service excellence and a sound customer base. The strategic companies now have a turnover of around £10 million, employing more than 80 employees and boasting a strong financial position.
