A SERIES of fascinating talks about the history of Lancaster and its castle are set for this year.
The 'Hidden History' talks which start in June cover a variety of subjects from 'transportation' to the colonies to ghosts.
The programme is: Thursday, June 16, Transportation; Thursday, July 21: A Life in Death - the story of William Calcraft, England's longest-serving hangman; Thursday, August 18: Lancashire Witches; Thursday, October 6: Ghosts of Lancashire. Tickets cost £3.50 for adults and £2 (concs).
o Meanwhile, the 2005 programme of kids' activity hours at the historic castle is up and running - with the next one due next Wednesday,March 30, at 2pm.
