THE letter from Catherine Barry (March 17) regarding speed cameras on Bolton Road, Radcliffe, will serve only to increase the grief felt by the bereaved family of Natalie Pickwick Jones.
Ms Barry says that a roundabout and railings would help slow traffic but she ignores the fact of one ton of metal being driven at an unlawful speed.
Two hundred people recently attended a protest about speeding and the need for cameras on Bolton Road, and they cant all be wrong. Until the law gets to the root of this problem roads like Bolton Road will continue to be deathtraps.
MOSS SHAW WAY
RESIDENT,
Radcliffe.
