LOWTON reader Peter Sergeant asks if it is a coincidence that within days of the first sod being cut for the new multi-million pounds Leigh Sports Village at Pennington, the "Green Spaces Yours To Enjoy" signs have once again appeared among the daffodils on inaccessible pieces of land along Atherleigh Way. Id say the annual planting of these posts which herald the first sign of Spring are meant to cheer us up, but like the growing number of irrelevant signs I fear they are just a further distraction to drivers.
