TWO masked men who robbed security guards at gunpoint in Lowton are still being hunted by police.
The pair confronted the security guards as they delivered cash to a convenience store on Church Lane at 10.50am on March 14.
They threatened them with a sawn off shotgun and pistol and demanded they hand over the money.
The raiders are believed to have driven a blue Toyota Celica which was reported stolen from Stavesacre, Leigh on October 20 last year.
The getaway car was found burnt out on Oaklands Avenue following the armed robbery and the raiders escaped in another car.
The first raider, who was armed with a shot gun is around 6ft tall, large build and was wearing a brown padded jacket and gloves.
The second offender, who was armed with a pistol, is around 5ft 9ins and of medium build.
