RESIDENTS of Dumers Estate in Radcliffe will create a haven for the community this weekend.
On Saturday a planting day will be held to ensure a £5,500 garden well project can blossom.
Since June last year, Dumers Tenants' and Residents' Association (TRA) has been busy developing the community garden on a piece of land on Seddon Avenue.
And this weekend, neighbours will be busy at the site between 12.30pm and 3.30pm, planting shrubs and flowers.
The land was once overgrown and affected by fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour. But following consultation with the local community, the group decided to transform the area into a community garden, to be enjoyed by all.
