A COLLEGE student died suddenly just a week before she was due to go for a hospital scan.
Jamila Khatoon (23) was found dead in her bed by her mother on Tuesday morning shortly after complaining of severe head pains.
Jamila's father, Mr Mohammed Shah said: "My wife Riaz went to check on her and discovered that Jamila had died.
"She had epilepsy but her condition over the past month seemed to have worsened.
"She was due to go for a scan next week to find out what was the matter.
"But that night she had very bad head pains, and when her mother went to check on her she had passed away."
Jamila, a former pupil of Broad Oak High School, had been attending Bury College.
Mr Shah, who lives with his wife and two other children in Massey Street, Bury, said of his daughter: "She was a nice girl, who loved animals and would always help the family."
The police are not treating the death as suspicious.
