HERE we go again, a complaint about speeding traffic. This time it's on Dundee Lane, Ramsbottom, and like residents in nearby Holcombe Village and Greenmount, our cries have fallen on deaf ears.
Residents on Tanners Street and Dundee Lane have a major problem with "rat runners", mainly between 3.30pm and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
The idea is for drivers to set off from the junction near the Grant Arms, shoot up Tanners Street, onto Dundee Lane and then down to the lights. They have no concern for the elderly, or mothers with babies in buggies, toddlers, or children coming home from school. There is little or no pavement, effectively turning this route into a lane!
We know the council do not think this is a problem because no-one has been killed yet, only injured. Lots of pets have been killed, and that is also of no concern, it seems.
A CONCERNED SOON-
TO-BE GRANDMOTHER
