BURY councillors should hang their heads in shame for failing to act to repair a vandalised fence in Ostrich Lane, Prestwich.
For three months residents have been contacting the council to try and get it fixed. It cost hundreds of pounds to erect but now the council seem unable - or unwilling - to mend it. It is an eyesore, and also an absolute disgrace that in this day and age council officials are prepared to accept such vandalism.
What makes matters worse is that the fence was erected to help protect the most vulnerable people in our society, our elderly. Many thanks to the Guide for highlighting the issue and let's hope someone, somewhere takes notice and gets this fence repaired.
I am sure that if this vandalised fence surrounded council offices it would be fixed right away.

Bannerman Avenue,
