WE recently had the privilege of watching our grandson in the musical "Oz" performed, by 80 children at Elms Bank Specialist Art College in Whitefield.

All the children were pupils at Elms Bank and all had disabilities or learning difficulties, but there they all were on stage, in beautiful costumes and make-up, with one thing in common: everyone, without exception, had a wonderful smile on their face. They were having the time of their lives and, in between our laughter and tears, so were we.

It really was a privilege to experience that evening, to share the joy of the children and to witness all the hard work of the wonderful staff at Elms Bank.

It certainly was well worth the 230 miles we travelled just to be a part of a wonderful experience.

Well done everyone at Elms Bank; we can't wait for your next production.
