ADMINISTRATORS have been called in to an East Lancashire fabric and homewear supplier amid reports it is axing 14 jobs.
The jobs fears relate to Morada International, which is based at Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn.
Business rescue and recovery firm Leonard Curtis confirmed it has been called in to the site and is "operating as administrators". But employees at the site claim the 14 staff working at the site's interior unit were told by bosses on Wednesday they were being made redundant with "immediate effect."
They include Paula Hill who said she was devastated to discover she was being axed from her job.
The 36-year-old from Gillibrand Street, Darwen said: "The 14 of us who work in the interior unit were called in a meeting and could not believe it when we were told that with immediate effect we were being made redundant."
The firm has several branches across the country which have also reportedly closed down in recent days.
