TODDLER Kamarni Batler had to be rescued by firefighters after curiosity got the better of him and he found himself in a bit of a jam.
Two-year-old Kamarni managed to get two fingers of his left hand jammed into the chain of his brother's bicycle in the kitchen of his home on Lepp Crescent, Bury, on Sunday afternoon.
Bury's fire crews were called and they freed the youngster by cutting the chain.
His mum Katrina said: "He was just turning the pedals around and I thought nothing of it. Then suddenly he started screaming and I saw that he had got his fingers jammed.
"I was thinking the worst, like he had lost his fingers. The firefighters were great. They calmed him down and talked him through what they were doing and even stayed with him until the ambulance arrived."
She added: "He is very lucky, and no fingers were broken. But when he got back from hospital, he went straight for the bike!"
His 12-year-old brother Estivon, is now waiting for a new chain for his BMX, but said that he was just glad that his brother was okay.
