A MOTHER has appeared in court accused of murdering her boyfriend.
Sonya Clark, 25, of Argyle Street, Darwen, is accused of stabbing Lee McEwan, 27, at her house in the early hours of Saturday.
He died from a single stab wound to the chest.
Blackburn magistrates yesterday refused her bail application. She is accused of stabbing Mr McEwan after she returned from a night out.
Her five-year-old son, who was not Mr McEwan's natural son, is now being cared for by his father.
A call was made to the ambulance service around 2.25am on Saturday stating that a man had been stabbed in Argyle Street.
Paramedics found Mr McEwan at the house with stab wounds and police launched a murder investigation.
Clark was remanded to appear before Preston Crown Court tomorrow.
