I WANT to add my voice to those who hope very much that non-vocational courses under the auspices of Blackburn College will not be axed.
I have attended these classes for nearly 20 years, at Four Lane Ends centre, St Silas' and Salesbury.
Teaching has always been of a very high standard. The classes are immensely beneficial in terms of health, both physical and mental. They are intellectually and physically stimulating. They are fun.
Lifelong learning is a common mantra these days and a college that prides itself on service to the community should provide for all, and provide what people want. And people still want their non-vocational courses to run.
