THE March meeting was the annual general meeting of Tottington Townswomen's Guild, and Eileen Smith was installed as our new chairman.
Pat Bagot ended her three years in the role and, along with several other members, was presented with flowers as a thank-you for all their hard work over the past year.
The year's charity was Tottington Village Hall and guild members were thanked on their presentation of a cheque for £1,500, to aid the development of the hall.
The charity for the coming year is Bury Society for the Blind and Visually Handicapped.
We meet in St James Hall in Woolfold Street on the second Tuesday in the month. The next meeting will be held on April 12, when Robert Wood will be speaking on Crystal Power, Fact and Fiction. Visitors and new members will be welcomed.
