IT'S TRAINERS are at the ready for a group runners who are preparing to stride five kilometres in the name of charity.
The Lancaster and Lakeland Nuffield Hospital will be staging its family fun run on Sunday, April 10.
All the cash raised by runners from ths hospital will go to the North West Air Ambulance, which relies solely on charity aid to stay in the air.
And so run organisers are appealing for more locals to don their running shoes to help raise stacks of cash.
It is hops that more than 250 people will come under starter's orders at 11.30am at the VVV Health and Leisure Club in Hest Bank.
Andrea Hollings, of the hospital, says: "All money raised on the day will go straight to the North West Air Ambulance, including the entry fee. We want to raise as much as possible for this charity which plays such a vital role in the region."
