HELLO sailor...thousands of sea loving, shanty-singing enthusiasts packed Lancaster over the Easter weekend for the annual Maritime Festival.
Riverside pubs were drunk dry and special market stalls on Quay Meadow did a roaring trade as Sunday's bad weather failed to put the mariners off.
And Glasson Dock was also bustling with two historic boats in port, outdoor performances of Punch and Judy, stilt walkers and guided walks through the historic port village.
A 1943 Morecambe transport bus ferried passengers from Lancaster to the port adding to the history of the weekend.
The event was run in conjunction with the SeaBritain festival and the Trafalgar Victory Fair was a big attraction.
One of the centrepieces was the exhibition of the wonderful Miss Atkinson, the Pig-Faced Lady, while the Cabinet of Curiosities also drew the crowds.
A press gang scoured the city in search of recruits, while the 33rd Regiment of Foot also hunted for men to serve King and country.
And one of the highlights of the weekend was the 13th National Sedan Chair Carrying Championships in the rain on Sunday afternoon.
Hundreds of people looked on as teams battled their way towards chair racing glory.
The championships were won for the third year running by a team from Lancaster Castle Prison.
