RADCLIFFE AC runner Donna Allen started her fell season in fine style with a third place among the ladies at the Midgley Moor race in Booth, Halifax.
Six other club members joined Donna on Saturday in the five-miler, which climbed 1,250 feet. It comprised of tracks and thick heather.
The race was the second in nine of the Radcliffe club's fell championship races, which stretch as far as Coniston in The Lakes.
Other runners who took part were Mick Howard, Mark Cartwright, Steve Hamer, Dave Bartlett and Sheila McNulty.
