A TRIO of public speakers from Golborne High School have lifted runners-up spot in the annual Rotary Club Youth Speaks Competition final.
Against teams from the north west region year 9 pupils, pictured l-r, James Hamilton, Ruth Eaton and Scott Cash gave a dynamic talk on their chosen subject, Compulsory Curriculum. A school spokesman said: "While they represented the intermediate section, they were considered to be on equal par with much older students taking part in the senior competition. They were a real credit to their school successfully gaining a place in the district final."
