RESIDENTS are invited to hike for health in Shakerley next Wednesday.
The latest short walk in the council's Active Living Team's programme sets off at 10am from Lancaster Avenue in front of the Home Ground pub.
Walks for Health is a series of short treks, which are mainly on flat ground led by local walking leaders and last about an hour. They are ideal for people not used to exercising or others returning to exercise.
No booking is required, the walk is free and everyone will be encouraged to go at their own pace. Stout footwear is required and don't forget a drink
For those wishing to venture further there is a walk at Worthington Lakes on Tuesday, April 5, at 11am, meet at the main car park, off Chorley Old Road, Standish (no dogs allowed).
