ATHERTON men are finding that it's good to talk - thanks to a new self-help group that is putting their worries about health and social issues first.
The Hag Fold Men's Health Group has been set up to find out what services the 3,000 over 18 males would like to see on the estate and to find out if they have any skills they can share with others.
Health development worker Andrea Sizer said: "It is often difficult to discuss health or social issues. We hope that the new group will allow men in the area to share their concerns and their solutions and that in the long term this service is a benefit to the whole community."
The group already has a growing membership and meets every Wednesday between 1pm and 3pm at Dorset Road Community Centre. More information from Andrea on 01942 822670.
