SOAP star Amy Nuttall lost her driving licence after being caught speeding - even though she hates public transport because she is famous.
Nuttall (left), who used to play Chloe in Emmerdale, was banned for six months under the totting-up procedure by Burnley Magistrates.
The actress, who now plans to be a singer and has a tutor in Colne, clocked up 45mph on the 30mph Keighley Road in the town on January 11.
London-based Nuttall, who already had nine points on her licence, had argued she would face exceptional hardship if she was disqualified. She had told the court she felt vulnerable on public transport because she was well known.
But prosecutor Elizabeth Read told her she would not be the only attractive young woman using it.
The defendant, of Chapel Lane, Hoghton, Preston, had admitted speeding. She was also fined £200, with £35 costs, after the bench said they could not find exceptional hardship.
Chairman Alan Hunter warned the actress, who was appearing in court on her 23rd birthday, that she could end up in jail if she flouted the ban.
