BOLTON-BY-BOWLAND Drama Group will be performing for three nights only, Fringe Benefits.
This comedy by Peter Yeldham and Donald Churchill was originally produced by Brian Rix, who produced some of the leading comedies of the 1960s in London's Whitehall theatre, following in the footsteps of the great comic writer, Ray Cooney.
Three men and four women get themselves in a tangle.
Two couples arrange to go on a joint holiday to Torremolinos, however both the men and the women have decided on different plans.
The men have some ideas about a couple of young office girls who have taken their fancy and who would 'appreciate' the pleasure of their company in East Croydon.
The women are sick of Torremolinos, and besides one of them has romantic ideas about their young plumber. Of course neither the wives or husbands reveal their real motives. Complications ensue particularly when the office girls turn up, and then the young plumber, who has a preference, as he tactfully puts it, for older women.
There will be a few scantily clad moments and trousers falling down, but this comedy is good, clean fun suitable for all the family.
The performances will be at Bolton-by-Bowland Village Hall on Friday June 10, Thursday June 16, Friday June 17. Tickets are £4.50 for adults, and £1.50 for children including a free cup of tea and biscuit at the interval.
