RECORD-BREAKING Leigh Centurions full-back Neil Turley is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Turley suffered serious facial injuries just minutes after coming on as a substitute in Leighs home defeat by Widnes last Sunday.
He was involved in a sickening clash with Vikings' pair Gray Viane and Sala Fa'alongo - an incident which was placed on report by match referee Ian Smith.
The game was held up for almost five minutes while medical staff attended to Turley.
The RFL's Video Review Panel were shown replays of the incident at their meeting on Monday but decided that neither Widnes player had a case to answer. They ruled that the injuries occured in an accidental clash of heads.
However, Turley will miss several weeks of Leigh's engage Super League relegation fight. He has a broken nose, damage to an eye socket and a possible fractured jaw.
Turley's season has been plagued by injury. Back and hamstring problems restricted him early in the campaign and hes only just returned to action after missing seven games after a hernia operation. Sunday was only his second senior appearance since April.
