A STAR-studded Cricket match is to be held at Prestwich Cricket Club on Sunday, June 19, but referees will outnumber the umpires!
The testimonial game for Lancashire player Gary Yates will pitch a professional referees XI against a football and cricket players' XI.
Premiership "whistleblower" Mark Halsey will lead the men in black, and they include Uriah Rennie, the recently-retired Jeff Winter, Steve Bennett, Mike Riley and Richard Beebey.
The opposition will include former professional footballers and ex-Lancashire players.
The 30-over match will start at 2pm at the Heys Road ground.
Admission will be £5 for adults and £2 for Under-16s.
It is one of seven events planned for his benefit year.
