A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy escaped after a man tried to lure him into his car with a computer game.
The boy had been walking to school at Ludlow Avenue, Hindley Green, at 8.55am on Wednesday when a black Ford Mondeo pulled up beside him.
The driver showed him a hand-held games console and asked him to get into the car.
The boy refused and ran to Sacred Heart school where he told his teachers what had happened and they contacted police. The youngster was not harmed but was left shaken.
The man is described as white, around 30-years-old, with brown curly hair and a moustache. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black trousers.
Area Inspector Jeff Crank, from Hindley police station, said: "This boy's reactions were exactly right in this situation, as he immediately ran away from the man and told an adult what had happened."
