BURY entertained South West Manchester and, having lost the toss, were inserted on a bowler-friendly wicket.
Simon Belston hit an impressive 40 but it was left to last wicket pair Mike Brawn and Sam Leach to get to grips with the pitch and put the anchors on batting the overs out.
Bury finished on 116-8.
Openers Merga and Wealings worked their way up to 50 for the first wicket but Bury wouldnt give in without a fight and when Asif Iqbal came, he changed the game.
Asif ripped through the South West batsmen time and again as Bury sensed the kill.
With a mixture of desire from Bury's fielding and panic from South West Manchester, Asif was not going to be undone and South West needed a four to win from the final over.
Two runs were added and then further drama.
Two wickets fell, Asif claiming six victims, and on the last ball he was no balled tieing the scores.
With the visitors requiring one off the last delivery, Asif beat the bat and claimed the ball from keeper Hague, swooping to run Larkin out, giving Bury the edge in the points department by bowling the opposition out.
Brooksbottoms nearly secured an unlikely win themselves when, after scoring just 125-9, they had Flixton on the ropes.
Returning Brox bowler Matt Wood took 4-34 in an inspired spell as the home side limped to their target with one wicket to spare.
