WALSHAW leapfrogged Bolton Association league leaders Golborne to move into third place in the table.
Batting first,Walshaw totalled 262 for 4 with contributions from all the top six batsmen, skipper Rob Faulkner leading the way and top-scoring with an unbeaten 67.
When rain intervened after the interval it looked at one time as if they were to be denied victory but enough overs were eventually bowled to consitute a match' and Walshaw were able to secure another 11 points as the visitors ended on 122-5.Professional Jon Fielding won the bowling plaudits with 4 for 48 from his nine overs.
