THE Breathe Easy group of Bury and District aim to highlight the importance of lung health to all the good people of our area, especially during Breathe Easy Awareness Week, which runs from the June 11 to 18.
With one in seven people living with lung disease in our area that leaves them fighting for breath every day, lung health has never been more important.
On Tuesday June 14, Breathe Easy Bury and District will be providing free lung power tests and information about lungs inside the Superdrug store in Bury.
On Wednesday June 15, there will be an awareness day in the main entrance foyer of Fairfield General Hospital.
Breathe Easy Bury and District is part of the British Lung Foundation's support network that extends across the UK.
Groups offer mutual support, advice and information to all those affected by lung disease, whether as patients or as friends, family or carers.
Lung disease affect eight million of the UK population, ranging from asthma and emphysema, to TB and lung cancer.
