A £20,000 high performance car was stolen during a daylight carjacking in Prestwich on Monday morning.
Two masked men confronted the shocked motorist outside her home in St Joseph's Avenue, Prestwich, at 10.30am and ordered her to hand over the keys to her new Ford Focus.
One of the offenders had a knife although he did not use it to threaten the victim.
She used her mobile phone to alert police who, despite arriving just a few minutes later, were unable to trace the electric blue Ford car or the thieves.
Both men were described as white, aged mid to late 20s, about 5ft 11ins and wore black balaclava face masks and dark clothing.
Witnesses can contact detectives at Whitefield CID on (0161) 856 8248.
