A MAN was threatened with having his legs broken if he did not hand over cash, police have said.
The victim was in Leeds Road, Neslon, near the petrol station, between 5.45pm and 6.15pm on Friday when he was approached by a man who demanded money and threatened to break his legs.
The victim managed to get away.
Police are looking for a man described as Asian, aged 30 to 35, 5ft 6ins, slim, with a pointed nose, wearing a grey fleece pullover and grey tracksuit trousers.
There was a second Asian man with him who told him to leave the victim alone. Police say they would like to hear from this man.
