MARKET traders in Accrington are supporting East Lancashire Hospice's Yellow Day this week by decorating their stalls and dressing in yellow.
Traders, markets and hospice staff will also be holding a raffle and a tombola outside the market on Friday.
They have also organised a sponsored silence at stall 11 from 10am to 3pm the following day.
Coun Marlene Howarth, chairman of the markets board said: "I think it's great that the markets are getting involved to support the work of the Hospice in this way, so please come along and support the event."
The traders have appealed to local businesses to donate raffle and tombola prizes. Anyone who would like to make a donation can contact the markets office on 01254 233816 to arrange collection.
There will also be collection boxes around the market hall and sponsorship forms for the silence are at stall 11.
