ADULT learners have been rewarded at Bury Councils annual Learner of the Year presentation.
Certificates were presented by Councillor Steve Perkins, executive member for learning, skills and employment, at the new Bury Adult Education Centre.
"I congratulate our winners and hope that they will continue their adult education experience by joining a new course in September," he said. "You really are never too old to learn and residents across the borough can learn in our improved facilities."
The winners were: Paul Brereton (basic skills) from Bury; Wendy Stone (family learning), Bury; Frances Etheridge (over-60), Holcombe Brook; Leeann Cohen (textiles),Whitefield; Dorothy Taylor (art), Ramsbottom; Susan Winterhalter (crafts), Ramsbottom; Christine Quayle (crafts), Ramsbottom; Dorothy Hoyle (widening participation), Bury; Angela Coote (new learner), Ramsbottom; and Michelle Chadwick (new skills using IT), Radcliffe.
