A TEENAGER'S boyfriend came to her rescue when she was dragged to the ground by another youngster on Thursday.
His actions saved the 15-year-old from a beating as the bully tried to grab a mobile phone from her in St Marys Park, Prestwich.
The girl was with a group of friends near to the tennis courts when she was confronted by three teenage girls. The ringleader demanded the mobile phone and became violent when the girl ignored her and began to walk away. The victim's boyfriend intervened and the girls were able to escape.
The incident happened at 9pm and police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 856 8093.
The offender was described as white, about 15 years old, small, with dark brown hair tied up, and wore a white baseball cap, black jacket, black skirt and brown shoes.
