I AM one of the many local residents involved in the redevelopment of Close Park in Radcliffe.
Can I remind the group of adults who visited the park last week during the hot weather, complete with chairs, picnic baskets and barbecues, that while we welcome them using the park and all its facilities, we do not welcome them leaving their rubbish and mess which was strewn about the park and in the bushes.
As adults they should be setting a good example to children and young people who are often wrongly blamed for such behaviour.
In partnership with the Bury Park Rangers team, many people have worked hard to make the park such a pleasant place to visit and we appeal to people using all parks in Bury to report anyone who does not treat them with respect.
At the end of the day it is everyone's hard earned tax
that has to pay for such thoughtless actions.
