The Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety has been touring colleges and Universities in the region to highlight to students the dangers of driving fast.
In 2004, 158 young drivers aged 17 to 21-years-old were killed or seriously injured on Lancashire's roads.
Current statistics show that one in five new drivers are likely to be involved in an accident in their first year of driving. The aim of the PAUSE campaign is to highlight to young drivers their vulnerability on the roads because of their inexperience and to wise up to the consequences of speeding, drink driving and the non wearing of seat belts.
A combination of other factors such as poor physical control of the vehicle, peer pressure and high spirits can also contribute to accident risk.
Sally Livermore, an 18-year-old drama student, is the face of the PAUSE campaign.
Rock FMs dance DJ Mark Freejack has exclusively mixed a number of dance tracks for the campaign.
The CD has been produced and is available FREE by logging onto Rock FMs website and completing the simple driver attitude survey (information from the survey will be used solely for road safety purposes only).
