BURY will start their Coca Cola League Two campaign on the road with a trip to Whaddon Road face Cheltenham on August 6.
However, Shakers fans won't have long to wait to face former keeper Glyn Garner and his Leyton Orient team-mates. The Orient are Bury's first opponents of the season at Gigg Lane on Tuesday, August, 9 before Shrewsbury Town head to Lancashire four days later.
"It's amazing how things like that get thrown up," said Shakers manager Graham Barrow.
And, Bury fans are in for a tasty Christmas with Grimsby Town visiting on Boxing Day before a trip to Rochdale two days later. New Year's Eve sees the visit of Stockport County.
"Around Christmas we have some good fixtures. With Stockport being relegated it's getting back to a big Lancashire contingent," said Barrow.
