THE Willow Project which supports women concerned about their own or someone else's drinking has received backing from the United Co-op.
Money awarded has been used to produce publicity stickers which will be placed for the group's work.
"We would like to say thank you to the Co-op for their award which is enabling us to promote the service in a discreet manner," said project manager Jean Stitt.
"There is a huge stigma attached to alcohol related problems and it is hard for women affected by alcohol misuse to find confidential , non-judgmental support to enable them to move towards a happier, less stressful life."
Funded by the National Lottery Willow, offers free and confidential support, information, counselling, complimentary therapies and advocacy support in a comfortable environment at venues across the borough.
If youd like to help the campaign by putting up a sticker at your workplace or need information on the project call 01942 679300 Mon, Tues, Thurs or Fri (1-3pm) or Wed and Thurs (5-8pm), write to the Willow Project, PO Box 8, Leigh WN7 1FB.
