VOLUNTEERS are being sought to assist within Whitefield Librarys visually impaired unit.
The appeal has come from the Bury Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted which wants people to help out on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons with catering, socialising and clerical tasks.
Volunteers are also required one Monday afternoon a month to assist with a reading group.
The society is also trying to recruit volunteers within the area to visit the partially sighted to be a friend. No experience is needed and training and support will be given.
Anyone interested in volunteering and has time to spare can contact Wendy Ireland at the Society on 763 7014.
