FANCY a stroll this weekend? If the answer is yes, Morecambe could be just the place to go.
Three guided walks are planned to introduce locals and visitors alike to some of the ailing resort's history.
Morecambe's 1930s heyday is the topic of an 'Echoes of Art Deco' walk on Saturday, led by expert Peter Wade.
The tour starts at the Platform at 2pm.
On Sunday are two resort walks looking back at places associated with the early life of two of Morecambe's most famous personalities.
At 11am Mr Wade leads a look back at Dame Thora Hird, taking in everything from the Royalty Theatre to her home with drummer James.
The walk starts from the Market Square entrance of the Arndale Centre.
A glimpse into the life of Eric Morecambe is next on the agenda, setting out from the Eric Morecambe Statue at 2pm. For information on all the walks, call 01524-582808.
o Alternatively, you can explore the fell country of the Bowland Access Area on Sunday with a ramble starting at 9.30am. For derails, call 01995-602125.
