THERE will be no traditional white wedding when Liz Tate and Jess Taylor get married.
Instead the bride, described as "fluffy, girlie and sparkly" by her friends, has chosen to have everything pink.
And that means everything - from her wedding dress down to the groom's tie, waistcoat and handkerchief.
Even the hen night had a pink theme with all guests wearing pink clothing and pink rosettes.
Liz, who will be 27 the day after her wedding, said: "I love pink. I must wear it a lot because people have started calling me Barbie girl. It all started because I was planning on wearing ivory but a colleague said, why don't you wear pink? So I now have a pink wedding dress and baby pink and cerise roses."
She will leave Whitehall Hotel and Country Club, Darwen, on Saturday, July 9, in a horse-drawn carriage for her wedding ceremony at 1pm at St Peter's Church.
And when fiance Jess, 34, turns to watch her walk down the aisle towards him, he will see a pink dress, pink shoes, a pink veil, a pink bouquet and flower arrangements, a pink dolly bag and a pink tiara.
There will also be a pink and white wedding cake, with explosions of hearts and crystals coming out of the top of both tiers, pink balloons and Liz, who is an NHS support worker in Blackburn, will even be wearing pink underwear and garter.
Jess's six-year-old son Nathaniel will also be wearing a pink waistcoat like his dad and the four bridesmaids will wear a lilac and cerise dress and carry purple and pink flowers, although the ushers have declined to wear pink.
Liz's sister Bronya Jackson said: "Liz is 26 going on 16 - a female Peter Pan - always wanting to continue to enjoy all things girly. She has always dreamed of her wedding day but not the usual "big white wedding" we all expect.
"Her dream will come true. As her older married sister, I'm her matron of honour, and I don't usually do pink so I'm being roped into wearing more pink that I'm used to."
Liz and Bronya's mum, Jenni Tate, is music co-ordinator at Holy Trinity Primary School, Darwen, and has arranged for 70 members of the school choir to sing during the service.
Liz and Jess, who is a plasterer in Burnley, lived in Cobden Street, Darwen, until last year when they moved to Tong Lane, Bacup.
They both have many friends and family members living in Darwen, which is why they decided to get married in the town.
They will honeymoon in the Dominican Republic.
