A DISAPPOINTING evening for the home team and spectators.
On a beautiful evening, everything was set fair for an entertaining game but the atmosphere rapidly changed when Tottington were informed, after 5pm, that we were facing half a team.
Finally, thanks to the Richmond lads who did come, their friendly attitude ensured that the evening was not completely lost.
Next home game at Garswood Hall on July 13.

RADCLIFFE PARKS LEAGUE
RADCLIFFE Tyre Centre final, played at Whitefield Park BC, was between Ian Turrell and Clive Chapman, two super league bowlers, and Norman Salisbury and Roland Barnacott, two top veterans.
The game was nail-biting throughout, Norman and Roland taking a 12-4 lead, completely out-bowling their super league opponents and leading 19-11.
Just as it looked to be all over, Ian and Clive clawed their way back to 19-19 with some wonderful corner bowling. The last end produced some outstanding woods. A superb six-incher from Norman gave him and Roland victory at 21-19.
A great game and a credit to the four players.
The cup was presented by match secretary, Ken Barrington.
