EACH of the three local clubs picked up points on Saturday with wins for Leyland and Motors, while Preston were just one wicket away from victory at Barrow.
Preston can feel unlucky after batting first and scoring 176 for 7 off their 52 overs in a steady if not spectacular fashion.
Opener Mann top scored with 46, with the other batsmen all chipping in.
West Indian pro' Rawl Lewis had the best return for the home side taking four wickets for 53.
Preston sensed victory when Vahaluwla removed five of the home side's first six batsmen for 36 runs but tail enders Wearing and Lawson, scoring 26 and 5 not out respectively, held on for a draw.
Leyland soon had visitors Kendal in trouble at Fox Lane capturing both openers before either reached double figures. When Terry Hunte went for 13, Kendal were up against it and once Kabir Khan was dismissed for 50, it seemed the innings might soon fold.
But a knock of 31 from number nine Yasin, the only player to score double figures, took Kendal's score to 147.
Brian Tennant was the star bowler for Leyland returning figures of five for 45 while stand-in professional Jonathon Harvey took three for 46.
Leyland took only 39 overs to pass the score, and it was Harvey and Tennant to the fore.
Former skipper Alex Mercer laid a sound foundation as opener, batting solidly for 26 before being out lbw to Khan, but an attacking 62 from Harvey that included 13 fours put the home side in sight of a victory and Tennant showed his all round ability with 27 not out to seal it.
Motors travelled to Lancaster and batted first and posted a useful 193 for 5 off their allotted overs.
Pro' Ashraf was again in superb form carrying his bat for 120 off 154 balls.
Opener Cross 24 and number five A Makinson 27 both helped to top up the total.
When Lancaster went into bat their openers D Heywood, and J Heywood both contributed to a steady start scoring 39 and 38 respectively but both became victims of an inspired Ashraf who removed the first three batsmen.
Motors skipper David Makinson ripped through the rest of the batting with a devastating return of five for 30 to give his team their second win of the season.
